Default Z33 bellhousing removal

Z33 bellhousing removal....

1. Remove all Front cover bolts

Once you have all bolts removed typically one tap from a rubber hammer can get it to fall off... but I got the special trans! :-)

I ended up making a slide hammer and screwing it into the clutch forks locations and poping off the front-cover.

2.Next remove the snap rings under the front cover

3. Disassemble shift plate and shifter assembly if your trans has one...

Also don't forget the one 12mm inside the linkage box that near the shifters mounting points.
This last piece locks everything in place.

Now you should be able to remove the bellhousing using the striking points. Which will be squares of excess material between the tail and bellhousing. Be sure to use a peace of wood between the hammer and trans.

You may need a 3 pound rubber hammer for this.

There's likely snap rings on the input and output shafts on their respective ends of the transmission.

Yeah.... it ended up being a little 12mm bolt in the shifter housing.
