Last time I checked S14's were 68" @ the widest point...

Thanks. I guess I was being lazy and seeing if anyone else had done it.

Def, the mirrors don't work, it has to be part of the body itself.

Ok, tape measure the widest part of the body. Better?

According to wiki s14 is 68". s13 is 66.5" My rear widebody is 4" (2" per side) So that makes me 70" Mike from kognition is making me a 72" wing

I do have a pic of a 70" wing mounted on an s13 hatch... but i think i have it in my pic archive at work.

Here's a 70" wing on an FC:

Stock for stock they too are 66.5" like an s13 So that gives you an idea.

The most budget option would be probably you building one like PJ did with his bad ass s14 wing. However I lack the know how and thus resorted to a professional (the group buy )

My wing was actually custom made for Jason Rhoades' SM car. It's 66.5" so it is the same width as the S13 body.

They don't list much for proof of functionality. APR lists CFD, but who knows if it is credible. Their wings are in use by a lot of people who can attest to lower lap times though.

no doubt that this is copy cat knock-off crap that probably has 0 R&D into making these wings...

But:
1] Will they come apart at track speeds?
2] Will they work? (downforce vs drag)

IMO this $900 [shipped] VIS wing looks cheaper than some of the other [$250 shipped] wings above

I doubt VIS put much R&D into that wing.

I would just look at what some of the real racers are running and how successful they are.

A decent data acquisition system will let you know if the parts are working.

Agreed on the vis wing.

Looking at what "real racers" and emulating what they have would be awesome; if I had a sponsored budget! Of course I'd love to place an order for APR's full lineup of S13 aero, but uhh... that's not really an option for me just yet...

I probably don't actually need a wing at this point, but I have enough aluminite to build a front splitter, and I want to maintain a healthy balance to the chassis.

I saw where Nissankat had his data from last weekend (added only a front splitter; run it w/ & w/o), but he even said that there was other factors that could have screwed up the results...

idk...
