Getting the AiM MXL dash/datalogger is one of the best things I've spent money on. I've had it for a year so information is trending nicely now. For instance, my co-driver's advantage on me at Watkins is almost entirely gained just in T4 braking zone and entry. He's braking about 80+ft later than me, but we carry the same speed through it.

Good eye with Turn 8. It's because I was passing a slower car at the entry to it. It's a damn shame too because the forecasted lap time on the dash was in the mid 2:08's. I tried going for it a few more times, but the tires started getting heat soaked.

Turn 11, look again, new line/blue line is showing higher speed through it. Delta also increases a fair margin.

sorry, I meant turns 7 and 8, not 8 and 11.. Looks like you had a bobble of some sort in T7 with the spike in both lat and long acceleration. maybe the back end kicked out or you had to avoid something/someone?

I was also confused by the almost mirror image differences between 8 and 9.. same speed differential, same rough shape of the curves, just different lap being fastest. nifty.

Yea, that blip in T7 on the red line is from last year. Rear had to be caught a bit. Here it is:

How did the car feel with out the rear bar on? I have never tried this, only read about the effects. I'm curious to hear first hand experience.

I run a "medium" front bar and no rear bar on mine. It helps with inside-rear lockup under trail braking which is an issue on my car due to the lack of travel in the rear..

correcting front roll center to reduce body roll and some anti-dive would likely help with that problem, but I haven't been bothered to fiddle with all that.

On 600lbs/500lbs front/rear spring rates and a sikky 32mm front bar on full soft, the roll couple is understeery. But, it's definitely putting the power down better than it ever has (in conjunction with the changes I made to the rear trac rod and toe link lengths).

Next iterations are to test a stock S14 rear sway bar.

Then test 550 lbs/in in the front with no rear bar again since my tire temp spreads show that I can probably easily get away with it. I'd like to try this first as it is the more logical approach from a theoretical tuning standpoint, but it requires money and more time.

I have custom front uprights with RC correction.

Saturday was a **** show with rain. Had 3rd in class locked then got a flat with 30 minutes left.

Here's Sunday's live stream. Much warmer and drier!

To follow live timing, download Race Hero app. Same idea as race monitor, but different.
