Default KA24DE main & rod bearing clearances?

What #s have people had good luck with? This is for an endurance motor.

Our crank has been polished and the rods have been honed, so I'm not sure if the original grade markings will produce consistent clearances. I'll know once I get everything measured.

I'd lean towards the upper end of stock clearance. Something like 15-20 ten thou rod and 18-24 ten thou mains.

I use the coated bearings from Calico. I would also coat the piston skirts. There are several types of coatings you can apply yourself. Techline Coatings is a very good supplier for these.

go with the standard recommendation of .001 of clearance per inch of bearing diameter and run 15-40 or so oil in it...the good stuff...rotella...

and no, none of that is sarcasm.
