Default Hood material question

Hi, can someone tell me, what kind of hood does this guy on a brown-gray GTR have? He is in the 2nd line, to the right here. Is it fiberglass or carbon, or duraflex, or what?
Maybe someone can recognize the brand by looking into the picture?
I wanted to do something similar on my 350z, yet I still cannot decide, what material is better? Or maybe I can have my OE hood modified, and then re-painted? Or it's better to keep my hood in teh garage and meantine drive with the aftermarket one installed?

Any info is appreciated!

Probably carbon or fiberglass. Those are generally lighter the more expensive you want to go. Duraflex is, to my knowledge, never used on hoods. You can modify your stock hood with new vents if you're going for better cooling/airflow, but it won't really be any lighter. You could modify the stock hood by cutting out the under structure if you want it to be lighter, but be sure to use some hood pins since it will compromise the structure of the hood. Though isn't the stock hood aluminum? I don't see it getting drastically lighter to be worth the expense/effort.

It is aluminum, yet I am not concerned that much about the weight, as I thought of the design, you know. I've had this 350z for years, and now I feel it started being too modest and lacks some aggressiveness. So that's the reason I've thought of a new hood.

I'm a fan of these:

Something to consider if you don't want to spend big bucks on something that won't be any lighter. They work very well at extracting heat in conjunction to looking good, IMO. You just can't be scared of cutting your OEM hood.
