Fun weekend at Road Atlanta with MVP Track Time running in the advanced group. First time on the Hoosier R6's and the car is definitely undersprung for the tires (hence all the rubbing). I was running pretty consistent 1:35's and 1:36's with little bits of traffic, around 4-5 secs faster than previous events.

Here's a full session chasing a couple of Vipers around.

      Nice.. makes me miss RA.

What kinda engine/gearing you running? Sounds like a V8, and it looks like you're grabbing 5th a lot. Seems 1 gear higher than I'm used to in something with stock gearing around RA on most corners.

There's also more time in T3 if you really launch the inside of the car over it, but it's really easy to be saying hi to one of the walls after that! Also hitting the curbs/gators more at T10a and 10b, but they're really rough on the car - so I usually avoided them.

LS1/T56, stock 4.08 rear gearing. It was already rubbing so bad that I avoided jumping T3 too hard most of the time. Gators in T10 are so rough that I worry about snapping axles and such under power crossing them (especially on the outside of 10b). I'll probably find some stiffer springs over the winter and swap them, not to mention work more on fenders/clearancing for the big rubber.

              Assuming this is your car:

A few of my friends were at that event. One had a white eclipse and the other the obnoxious 3000GT behind you.

                That's me.

The 3000gt was pretty cool, aside from the paint . I like seeing some stuff you don't normally see at the track in the sea of M3's and 911's and Corvettes.

He bought the car with the paint like that...cheap on account of the ugly. We are still trying to descipher the writing on the side.
