  • AEM Infinity GB Interest?

I'm not sure if anybody is contemplating an AEM Infinity, but I have the opportunity to offer a GB rate for this week only (ends 2/29 at midnight).

I can get an AEM 30-7106 (Infinity 506) or AEM 30-7108 (Infinity 508) for $1175 shipped (lower 48) to you if at least 2 people jump in. If we get to 5+, I can do $1155 shipped (lower 48).

I can also get other AEM stuff at a discount at the same time, so contact me if you want harnesses etc.

Just thought I'd throw this out there for anybody possibly thinking on it.

Talk to me about harnesses and the sensor wheels. As in, I have a ROM tuned ECU and have interest in going standalone. Figure I will need to build a harness (want to build a harness to clean stuff up), any insight on pricing for the harness options and the sensor disk?

The harnesses and CAS disk aren't that expensive.

Here's a link for the harnesses:

I built mine with the 30-3705, but I'd probably go with the 30-3706 if I had to do it over again. It wasn't available at the time. I did mine with a $30 Weatherpack crimper and about $50 of wiring (and still have a big box of wiring left over!).

The CAS disk is <$30 IIRC. Not expensive.

The cost on the harness and CAS disk is also discounted if you buy this week!

I don't really see a reason to get the 508 over the 506 for our applications, what do you think there?

Get me a total cost on the CAS disk, the 3706 harness and the 506 if you don't mind.

No reason to go with the 508 unless you've got a V8 swapped ride!

I'll shoot you over that price later today.

I picked up one of these in November for a vh41 swap. Any idea if any of their CAS disks are suitable for 8 cylinders?

You'd have to research what the CAS disk size is.

Does the V8 have 1 CAS or 2? If it's just 1, then I don't know if it'll work, as you'd typically need two cam signals to sync the other bank. Although theoretically you could do it off crank signals (what the 24 holes in the AEM disk are giving... 12 crank signals per crank rev).

There's a single 51mm disk, very similar to the others, but with four large (varying size) and four narrow inner holes.

It looks like the cam alignment holes (the inner ones) tell the ECU where it is in the cycle with more accuracy.

Honestly, I'd research if I were you on what sort of cam/crank signal the AEM Infinity needs for a V8. If it's fine with a 12 crank + 1 cam signal - that's what the AEM disk outputs from the CAS (wired up to the Hall effect wires of the Infinity).
