    Could be the firing order:
    LS1 = 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3
    Older Chev Small block = 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

        That's a nice build, but I don't care for the rear end treatment either.

        I wonder why he didn't do a little extra work and put in an SLA front suspension.

        BTW: The engine in it is not an LT1, it's just a well built regular old SBC.

          It may not be everybodies cup of tea but I would take the pot. I love it and how can you not appreciate the work, detail, time and MONEY he put into it. I can just imagine how many nights he set up thinking and drawing and going through parts catalogs.

              I hear you Mike, there is a lot to admire about the car, infact I thought real hard about doing a tube frame for the front of mine after sliding it into that curb at Dust Devil. I even considered building an SLA front suspension but decided against both due to a lack of confidence in my own ability to pull it off.

              As for the aesthetics, that's personal taste, what was done was done well but I still don't care for how the rear end looks. I'm sure there are people who will make the same statement about how my Z looks, but I built it to satisfy myself and that guy built his to satisfy himself so he doesn't have to care whether I like it or not.

              As you say

                      bumping this with what I think is a sexy track s30: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHrWP...eature=related. I love how he tucked the air intake under the cowl.

                      Similarly, http://sites.google.com/a/vq240z.com/www/home.

                      The sound is beautiful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwZOH...layer_embedded. VQ35 sounds a lot better than VQ37.

                            That's Jay Hitchcock's car. I really like Jay's car, but here is another one that I think is nicer:
