Hey Guys,

Came across a local guy who is selling a set of Enkei wheels off of an Evo along with some Hoosier A6 245/40/17s. He is asking $570 for the set. Is this a pretty good price for the wheels and tires? Or should I try to deal with him on the price? Front tires have about 70% tread left on them and the rears have about 30%-40%.

Only downside that I will have is having to switch over to 5 lug, but I might as well get it out of the way.

Descent deal in my opinion. Wheels alone should be costly, not to mention r comps. What sizes are the wheels, make sure you can fit them as evos and 240s have different offsets... I paid 1300$ cash locally for mb competition 17x9+17 and 255/40/17 azenis x4... great deal... i know down states i could get ALOT cheaper but unfortunately im in canada... it was brand new... but then if i wanted say enkei rpf1 wheels alone theyd cost me around that price... without tires..

Do some research.. and always remember you get what you pay for... I paid 300-350 for my skyline rims and about 600 bux off of tirerack for good year eagle f1 gs d3 initially... wasn't worth the price imho... sometimes you think you save money here and there but lose elsewhere.

They are 17x8 +38 5x114.3 I believe McCoy actually ran a set on his car as well.

That offset is pretty high, so you'd probably need spacers in front with most coilovers. 245/40 is also pretty squished on a 8" wheel, but it should be okay. I personally think the Evo enkeis are ugly, but that's a pretty good deal for a set of wheels and tires in workable sizes. Throw in some 10mm spacers up front and it'll be a nice setup on the cheap.

Actually, I'm running 17x9 +35's... but these are also perfect for a evo too :)
