Hey guys, I'm looking for ideas to resolve my situation here.

I bought this S14 last year that that i been slowly working on that will eventually take the place of my S13 as a street car. It came with some gay wheels and tuner lugs that I do not own the key for. I thought Advanced Auto Parts has the same ones but it was slightly different.

There is not enough space between the nuts and the wheel to hammer a socket on which is the method tire shops use.

Currently i plan on trying to hammer in a 3/8" drive extension to remove them. Im just afraid it might slip and round out the teeth in the nuts. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Weld something to it that you can easily grab, like a big bolt.

Looks like a pretty common key--run down to your local tire place and see if they can help you out.

Dang , go to a tool store or even Sears and pick up a couple sizes of Torx sockets , return the ones that dont fit ... then throw those junk lug nuts away and get a good set of closed end Tuner Lug Nuts ..! ....

Hammer in a 3/8" and hit it with an impact... maybe not the brightest idea but I'm impatient when it comes to that.

air hammer.
make a cut into the lug nut with the air hammer, then use the air hammer and angle it so each hit of the air hammer will help rotate the lug nut counter clockwise. I removed my old lug nuts like that when I lost the key.

I remember having the same problem a few years back on my S14 as well. I believe I just found a socket that was just a tad too small for the lug nut and I just hit it with a hammer until it was on snug.

I vote the tire store, I can pretty much guarantee they'll get it off for you.

I wouldn't weld a bolt onto it until you exhaust all of your other options. Unless you want spatter on your wheels that is.

I vote on using a junk 3/8ths drive extension and an impact.

The splatter won't stick to painted aluminum. That's just a torx type fastener though, go get some torx sockets and find one that fits.

Torx sockets would have worked also, but i ended up using a 3/8" drive extension. It fit perfectly.

I also realized the car had additionally two other different types of lugs nuts. Two lug nuts of a single kind were taken off by a tire shop that charged me $50, waited two hours, and scratched each wheel that had one of these wheel locks on. I dont care for those wheels, but its the principle.
