Hey guys,
I finally have a chance to get another project car so I'm just putting this out there in case anyone has a lead on a nice local car somewhere. Prefer an SR swapped car with no sunroof, 1995 or older due to not wanting to deal with OBDII emissions nonsense. I'd be willing to spend up to maybe 7k or so, depending on mods and condition...end goal is reliable SR, 8610/8611s, HLSD, Def Wilwoods, 4 point rollbar and street legal. So anything that doesn't fit into that scheme will just be sold anyways. I'm in western PA now, but would be willing to travel or ship a car to get a nice rust-free example. However, my time is limited so closer is certainly better. Thanks for any tips!

Thanks for the offers guys, still looking. I'm not gonna be making the kind of offers that spur you to sell your car...more looking to pick up something that's a good deal for the parts included so I don't have to lose my ass building a car up from scratch.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I forgot you're in town, we'll have to meet up some time. Let me know if you need an extra set of hands ever.

A couple suggestions.
Keep in mind that 89-94 is the S13 and 95+ is the S14 so they are two different cars.
If you're looking to "build from scratch" as you state, why not pick up a shell or a non-swapped and build the SR just how you want it. They're not that expensive anymore and very easy to work on! You could come in under 7k that way for sure.
If I buy something pre-modded I always plan for 2-3k of fixes needed. They don't always need it, but you rarely find cars in excellent shape that someone is willing to part for cheap.

it was my first project car and I dd'd it for 6 years with the SR in it
it has an evo 8 FMIC stuffed fairly well behind the front bumper

I'm up in dreerie erie and have a 95 se that is mechanically complete except for exhaust and 1 brake caliper. Although I can't guarantee anything because I've never tried to start it. Previous owner said it ran before he started taking it apart to swap it and then quit. Cosmetically, its a different story. Interior is almost completely gone. Has carpet and dash w/cluster, and that's about it. Missing front bumber and headlights, and the fenders are iffy. The car is relatively clean rust wise, I won't say there isn't any. It does have a sunroof and is currently automatic. The other bad news is I don't have a title. The good news is, it's extremely cheap. Doesn't exactly fit your request, but the price might...

It is a great deal i just dont want it to fall into the clutches of the zilviaites so i haven't really advertised it, I'd rather watch it collect dust than sell it to some......... nevermind you know

It doesn't drive but I can put it back together, it loaned a couple pieces to the track car that I have to replace (hot pipe, intake, turbo (why it is stock again) exhaust, shifter trim)
I'll try to find pics so I don't have to wash it to take more lol

I forgot about the slight dent/push in the drivers side headlight cover and bumper, core support is still straight luckily
brembos are off the car (stock brakes currently) but I can make you a deal on a certain other wilwood kit....or I can put the brembos back on, they are on the track car which was awaiting wilwood parts which are now here you can't have my fancy rear useless bar, that has sentimental value even though it does nothing at all

Just picked up a beautiful 95 slicktop with an SR and Konis. Thanks for all the help guys, I got a lot of great leads here and the car I finally bought was courtesy of an NRR member. I'll get some pics and put a post together when I get a chance, life's crazy right now.
