Hey, I'm installing ground controls on koni yellows for the rear of my car and I'm a little confused by the directions. I'm sorry for the total noob question but does the stock bushing below the upper mount on the rear shocks go above the new washer, below it, or get discarded? Right now I have it installed above the new washer like so:

And here's the directions from GC:

The arrow shows the stock mount being placed directly on the new washer and tophat but it doesn't say to discard the stock bushing. If anyone could clear this up for me I'd be grateful. I've gone through enough BS with GC's support that I'd rather avoid another headache if possible. Thahks

The stock bushing must be retained for articulation (flex at the mount). There should be 2, one on top, and one below the upper mount. Without them, there's nothing "flexible" to sandwich the mount.

It should go, from the top of the shaft pin down:
- Nut
-Bushing
-Mount
-Bushing
-Washer
-Bumpstop

As you have it pictured above should be correct.

That's what I thought, thanks a bunch. Time to get back to work.

Can you do me a favor and measure your rear shock - it looks like a S13 shock - I have been trying to find out the length difference between the S13 and S14 rear shocks. If you already have them on it is no big deal.

Thanks!

Depends on how you look at it.

Overall length difference is about 5.25". Compressed length difference is about 4".

I guess we can both be right.
