With my move coming up I decided to buy a few accessories. It was an easy sell to the wife because of the move. Also, Uncle Sam's somewhat paying for it. still needs a lot: wiring, mount tool box, figure out how the wheels will go on, etc. Usually I'd figure this stuff out but with the time crunch(less than a week) I figured I'd call my first life line (NRR) ;)

I double checked all connections, splices and grounds with a continuty tester. Everything is good until after the blue but connectors. I don't plan on keeping the but connectors. They're there for troubleshooting purposes. There's current going throught the brown, yellow, and green wires but I'm not sure why it's not working properly. The trailer has no running lights and when I use the signal (left or right) all four of the trailer lights flash. When my headlights are on none of the trailer lights work. I keep going back to the grounds and all of the damn conversion harness wiring crap.

Feel free to make suggestions on how I should mount the wheel/tire/tool box. So much for me doing any type of motor swap or engine mangement wiring.

Here's the finished product. The wiring problem ended up being bad grounds to the rear tail lights due to the powder coated frame.

Your wheels could probably fit standing up through the rails of the frame. That's how most people seem to carry tires, with a bar through the center holes.

I need to make a new frame and axle for my trailer to fit my tires. At the moment I can only fit 3 tires on it :(

That's how mine is setup, I'll snap a pic

Hopefully I have time in the next month to setup my HF trailer, I'm going to build a base so that I can fit all 4 tires across and use the rod through the center holes since this does seem to be the easist way. I also need to pick up one of the Walmart boxes like ckc posted in the first post, they fit perfectly in the front half of the trailer.

Don't laugh... here was my setup when I was pulling it behind the sentra, I didn't have the time to do it like I wanted to and sold the sentra off before getting around to working on the trailer.

ACE-I was hoping to stack the tires like that so if I go to a wider tire all I'd worry about is staying within 25-6 in dia. Seems like it'd work well if I could modify the fenders too.

McCoy-I got the box at lowes

Here is the trailer I have been dragging around for about 5 years.

Its a bit beat up :( I had to replace the tounge a few years back because the stock one started to fail. Then I had an issue with a LARGE pothole on the way back from an event.

Ripped the leaf springs almost off the frame. I drove another 75 miles without realizing it (my Miata was LOUD) and ended up with this

When I was using a tire trailer, I used PVC pipe in the trailer rails so that the tires would be pressed against the plastic pipe instead of the metal bar on the trailer. Not a big deal, I just didn't like that line that was pressed into the tire after securing them to the trailer.

NO!

It got tossed out after I got tired of seeing it.
