Snatched from review of the Saturn Sky:
"While not a comfort cruiser — it's hard to hear the stereo over the engine at highway speeds — the Sky's suspension is a bit more refined than its Pontiac Solstice sibling, as Saturn had a few more months to tweak it after the Pontiac version debuted. It's still the same independent front and back design, but rejiggered to allow more movement before the shocks kick in. The result is a somewhat softer ride in highway conditions, while maintaining composure in light curves."
Hey veilside180SX, could you rejigger my housings so the shocks and VTEC kick in at the same time?

Ugh... I don't know why people trust crap like Edmunds or Consumer Retardness. It's like they're all 50+ year old fat bastards who can't get out of a car that has a seat lower than 4' off the ground, don't want the ride over heinously broken pavement to be any rougher than the average minivan, and consider actually hearing your engine a "design oversight."
Bleh... Same people who call cars without nannying electronic (understeer) stability control "dangerous." No, the only thing dangerous is putting some asshat who thinks turning hard and braking is "safe driving" behind the wheel of a car in the first place.
Hell, the average "car enthusiast" isn't that far off. Venture over to Zilvia and you've got kids asking how to get 500rwhp in one post then complaining that they're only getting 26 mpg in another. It's like what they really want is a Toyota Echo that somehow gets street cred with all their pimple faced 16 year old friends who read Super Street and goes 100k miles between having to even pop the hood...

They're pretty bad, it's true. I can't help but smile whenever I read a review talking about too much engine noise or a raspy note, because any car feels totally smooth and silent to me after driving mine. A stock WRX just feels boring because there's no N, V, or H to speak of, even though it's quicker than my car in a straight line. I ended up reading this review because my dad is obsessed with the Sky and really wants to get one. His current car is a 96 Chevy Lumina with 130k miles, and previous cars are a parade of Ford/Chevy sedans and wagons. Enthusiast, he is not, and so I read crap sites like Edmunds. I'll just have to rejigger my expectations. He drives manual trans trucks at work all day and we live in the city, so there's probably no chance he'll even get something with a manual trans. I'm trying to sell him on the power hardtop MX-5 since this is the great white north and it snows all the time here. Roads are usually in good enough shape to drive a RWD car with no issues, but I feel like tooling around in a soft top car would suck ass for at least 3 months of the year.

I fall asleep in stock cars, especially if they have automatics.
An M3 is just about as tame a performance car as I'm willing to stand.
Show me a stock car I don't want to modify in some way, and I'll show you a flat EKG.

Exige S 240
I think I'd be perfectly happy with that in stock trim.

Consumer reports actually has a pretty sweet test track/setup in CT. And they do a lot of testing, but of course everything they write is geared towards the average person. So I don't know why you guys are surprised that reviews of cars on a website/magazine geared towards people with no car knowledge sounds stupid. It's like you picked up a children's book and were suprised at how easy it was to read.

That isn't cool...there are a lot of illiterate children out there. :)
