Well while cruising on texas240 forum someone gave a 'positive review' and others responded too on an ss autochrome exhaust from ebay lol.

I DO need an exhaust replacment cause i have a very leaky very rusted stock one still which sounds like an aftermarket exhaust (ie; much louder -- courtesy of exhaust leaks)

Then while ebaying it, I came upon that... N1 dual clone... thoughts?

The mufflers on every ebay exhaust I've heard are loud and drone to no end, including the SSAC ones.

N1 dual design is extremely heavy.

Save up for a used Buddy Club Spec II if you want something very light, or get something like an RSR ExMag or 5 Zigen Border III for quiet but with the performance gain from larger piping.

Never heard of those sonethreecoupe... sounds like an interesting choice... buddy club spec 2 isnt that the super loud straight pipe setup hah.. no way. But the rsr and 5zigen setups sound intriguing, never heard of them...

I wonder how they compare to BRM's exhausts... I was thinking of going with their 2.5" piping and 22" resonator dual tip setup... costs an arm and a leg about 700ish...

Edit:

I googled those exhausts you mentioned, overpriced plus ugly looking tips heh

This is what I was talking about...

http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/48608

Comes to 665.00USD + shipping

2.5" stainless steel piping, 22" magnaflow resonator, dualtip magnaflow muffler, 2.5" hiflow cat,

Plus will need new hanger mount thingamajigs and shipping

Choice of either:

I have a SSAC single tip. It was $200 shipped and it's full stainless with nice welds. That said, it hangs a bit low, and is definitely on the loud side. We'll see how I like it with an SR with an internal WG; if it's too loud I'll probably chop off the muffler (not a huge fan of the N1 can look anyways) and TIG weld on a decent Magnaflow or Dynomax muffler. If I had a second car, I'd just get the BC Spec 2, since it's light, cheap, and has good ground clearance, but noise would definitely be an issue, perhaps even at the track.

I don't know why people keep saying that the RSR Ex-Mag is quiet. Maybe quieter than an Apexi N1, but that's not saying much. The quietest exhaust ever is the Blitz Realize TT. A stock SR20 with Catco cat and Realize is quieter than a stock WRX.

I put an Apexi WS Noir on my car and my brother's. Cost was about $425. It's a pretty quiet unit as well and it's compatible with their Apexi active tail silencer. The ATS is a pretty neat sprung silencer. Someone dynoed one on a 350whp car and lost something like only 3hp. With a traditional silencer they lost about 40whp.
