I'm looking into purchasing a set of 5x114.3 17x7 with +45 offset Team Dynamic Motorsport wheels as my track setup and I'm wondering if ill run into any issues with them.

I've looked online and I cannot find anything on the hub bore on them.

The guy who I'm looking to buy these off of said they were going on his Miata.

I'm running an s13 with 5 lug swap with Q45 fronts and altima rear calipers. It's sitting on agx with espalier springs. Car is NA KA and I don't plan on more power anytime soon.

Lastly, how wide of a tire can I run on these? I have a set of ra1s in 235 waiting to go on something.

Thanks in advance.

I'd hold out for a better size. Offset is high, width is skinny...not quite what you want unless you had a class that you absolutely had to run that size.

Will I run into any issues with rubbing running that high of an offset? The price is really good, and I won't be running anything wider than a 235.

if you're keeping it budget, go with mustang wheels.

OEM 98-04 GT wheels are 17x8 +30, weigh ~19lbs, and can be had for <250 all day. pretty hard to beat for the price.

Hrmm... I'll keep my eye out for those. Do you know of other stock wheels that have good offsets?

Z33 17s are okay, the rears are slightly wider but they're pretty darn heavy. Will be close in front with coilovers probably, too.

Front
Size: 17x7.5
Offset: +30mm
Weight: 23.26lbs

Rear
Size: 17x8.0
Offset: +33mm
Weight: 24.14lbs

I really don't want to do staggered. I want to be able to rotate my tires.

I really don't want to do staggered. I want to be able to rotate my tires. You might be one of three 240 owners who do. I am among them.

I can definitely see both sides of the argument, but I am after longevity and ability to use one setup at more than two corners of the car. Cuz that's how I r0ll.

That info I provided was just showing what the stock Z33 setup consists of. I think staggering is pointless on these cars also and would suggest running 4 of the rear z33 wheels if you're going that route. They're super heavy though, so I'd probably advise against it if you can find a better deal.

yah mustang wheels are definately a better bang for hte buck. only downside is the way they look i suppose.. and the whole stigma of having ford wheels lol

these are the guys you want-

if you want to go wider, 94-98 17x9 +24 cobra wheels are probably the next lightest thing, but i believe they're all over 20lbs. they're gonna cost a little more than the 17x8's but should still be had for <400 in great shape.

^They also made 17x8 +30 cobra wheels. That's the set I have.

What do those look like? How much they run?

Maybe we can get a mod to change this thread title to "budget track wheel reccomemdations"

They look just like the 17x9 +24 cobra wheels.

Anyone know how light/strong those ford replica wheels are?

I would not get replica Ford wheels. Something like a MB Weapon is dirt cheap when Discount Tire is doing deals, and you can get tires mounted for free and typically delivered for free.

My MB Weapon 17x9 +17s were ~6 lbs heavier with Nitto NT-05s on them vs. my RPF1 17x9 +35 with Toyo RA-1s. The MB Weapons were like $150 ea, and I think I got a little off for buying all 4, so really not super expensive.

I do like the weapons. Ive had them on another car. My car currently has the battles on them but I'd like to keep those on the street.

The mustang wheels im looking at have a lifetime structural warranty, that sounds pretty good to me.

Honestly, if you're getting to the point of getting a separate set of track wheels for your car, you need AT LEAST a 9" wide wheel. It's not really that wide in the grand scheme of things, and a 255 is a nice width that's easily available out there in used tires and pretty much every tire made now.

Saving a little bit of money to get a skinny wheel is not a smart move in the slightest.
