So I have some extra front OEM struts and decided to build some koni yellow housings for my S14 with ground control so I have them ready when I get the strut and GC kit. I have several questions:

Where is the best place to get O or D washer to weld onto the housing?
(measurements of that washer?)

Where should it be welded? One guy said 1" below the OEM perch weld bead, but said he wants to redo it at 1.5" below.

Also, if I add the D_rex strut extenders on the bottom, would that affect where that washer should be mounted or no?

I will probably order the washers here: http://www.washersusa.com/infof.html

Anyone have the info I'm looking for?

The GC's have instructions telling you where but there are actually so many variables(tires, spring length, etc.) that a blanket answer is hard. You need to find out what works for your set up.

I see...

I'm thinking the 1.5" below the OEM weld bead will be a good spot to give more lowring adjustment. Now I just need the measurements of the D-ring!!!

I also found this site that had CHEAP coil-over sleeves ($15 each). They have 8" ones, so you could buy one and cut it in half for both fronts. I'll post the website here when I get home if other are interested.

I'm curious as to which sleeves those are?

Here are the sleeves:

The have others stuff too like spring spacers, and shock tops. Search for "coil-over" on their site.

Not saying that, just wasn't sure if you had some magical wand and found something I hadn't under a rock is all.=)
