What class?

Since we all know a 240 with an N/A KA24 isn't usually all that quick so we swap in various different motors, what class does that put us in? I know in SCCA you have to race in Street Modified or something which is the top class before purpose built racecars but NASA seems a bit more relaxed with certain rules. I don't plan on racing for a while but I'm just curious.

yeah because I know there aren't many restrictions what so ever for time attack. I feel like road racing would be loads of fun but we just dont have the right cars for it.

There are plenty of restrictons for real TT programs like NASA's, unlike the media-backed and over-hyped garbage like the Super Street TTs.

A stock DOHC KA 240 is a TTF +14 base class, so a fair amount of mods will put you well into TTE.

a 240sx with stock engine and alot of suspension mods can be quick, it just takes balls to push the car those fast lap times.

Plenty of guys run ITA (SCCA) with stock engine 240sx and PTD (NASA). TT classes and TT in general is lame. I realize is the cheapest way of "racing" but its just a glorified HPDE.

If you want to "road race" then do some HPDE's and then decide what you want to do with your car performance wise, choose a class in PT, ST, or SU all NASA and then build the car slowly to be within the rules all while learning how fast the car can actually go, youd be surprised how fast the professional W2W guys can get those KA's around the track.
