Enkei RPF-1, 17x9 +22
Falken RT-615s, 255/40/17

Pretty beefy, and not a problem to fit. The fronts BARELY touched spring perches of Apexi World Sports, but I threw a 5mm spacer on and all was well... could have gotten away with like a 2mm spacer and had enough room. Once I get the Konis on there shouldn't be any clearance issues.

I didn't get a chance to drive it since the car has a dead battery, but I'd probably have to tweak the front fenders a bit or add a little more camber (currently -2.5) so they don't rub until full load. Without the spacer, I probably wouldn't have to.

As a side note, these are lighter per wheel than my buddy's 17x7s with 205/40/17s on them. :p

Very nice.

I want to get mine too but i wanted 18x10.5+15 (19lbs -- very nice for that site and offset)

I'm wondering what offsets 18x10 comes in.. couldn't quite pinpoint it..

The price difference within sizes is almost negligible, not too much difference, its just tires that cost an arm and a leg then heh...

If I had a(nother) car that clean I could probably even live with the sunroof...

looks good.

So now there's four of us on this forum with RPF1's. Theres a reason for that. Its a great wheel at a great price.

Theres only one rpf1 car i dont quite like this g35

http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=230818&page=4

I came upon it while trying to google 18x10.5 rpf1s, they are stretched 265s and chrome (well the sbc whatever its called), i think its ugly the chrome and... the stretch look gah... it needs some 285s or 295s on there :( I've really come to dislike stretched look on anything anymore I.. saw the light..

This is the only 'stretch' look car I like heh.. 295/30/18 on 18x11.5 its quite sexy

Actually, I like that, too. RPF-1s look good on anything because it's a simple wheel and completely functional... so even if they DO look out of place, the light weight excuses them. I agree that those need some 285s on them, though. And SBC isn't that bad, it just looks like crap in pictures.

Those wheels look WAY better on the black Z on pg. 5.

Anyway, I think that once these 255s wear out, I'll get some wider spacers for the front, throw some 20mm front wide fenders on, and run 275s all around. :D

Also, ahmed, I bumped your maximum rubber thread, if you didn't notice. :D

oh wow! I didnt see the black one! That's new! I just googled to find that g35 since a loong time ago i saw those... the black 350z is new to me, VERY SEXY! DAMN! I was going to just say yeah the sbc is nice on black :) Chrome, flatish silver, gold, satin black or satin dark grey are also beatiful colors on black cars. I think im going to repaint my car black like that.. i initially wanted to, but the idiot that ripped me off wanted to rip me off even more for another 1000$ if he was to paint it black :(

So cool man.. so sexy... my new wallpaper replacing my black carerra gt wallpaper hehe

Nice white S14. Those wheels look really good. We need to get orion posting on here- last I've seen, he has 17x9.5 +18 RPF1s with 255/40 MXs on his S14.

Agreed. This new setup is a direct size rip from his old setup (17x9 +22 RP01s w/ 255 MXs).

I was thinking about going to the 9.5" route, but to me, it sounded like a bunch of extra fender work to fit the same tire.

SBC is gorgeous, it's just too expensive to be worth it. The 18x9.5/10.5 RPF1s on Sasha's S14 looked great. The beefy 275/305 RA1s certainly helped.

RPF1's are a great choice for a track wheel. Light, durable, well priced..

kinda played out now...or they're getting really close IMO

Anyone have NT03M's on their 240's, ive seen them on an FD but not a 240 yet?

I thought about NT03+Ms, but new wheels aren't in the budget right now.

"Played out"...lol. Who cares if the wheel fits well, is light, and doesn't bust the wallet? If your car is built do anything other than impress kids on zilvia, this shouldn't matter.

There are certain wheels that will never be played out... the RP-F1 is one of them, IMHO. It has actually grown on me over the years, now that I don't have a set anymore.

I don't think they're ever going to be played out. performance is something that has value above simple style... Just look at the te37 or bbs mesh type.

yeah i always dig the rpf1and would love to have a set, the te37 will be the epitome of baller track wheels in my opinion but i am biased toward rays myself (just cause they hit the spot)

just passing through, but figured i had to say something

one of the great things of course about rpf1s is how light they are for the price

well, nt03+m's are not that light...at all, in this size range figure 3.5 to 4 lbs more, so at that point your wheel options open up quite a bit more if your weight limit is that much higher

now, how big of a deal is that? one of these days somebody is going to have to take two wheels in same size/similar if not same offset with same tire in same size and run a test to see how much that 14-16 lbs of unsprung weight in the wheels really makes a difference in terms of lap times

RPF1s are light, plentiful, and cheap to replace. They come in the right sizes and offsets, and look great.

I waited a little more than three months for my CE28Ns in the common 17x9 +15 size. If I were to bend one of them, it'd probably be a longer wait than that and I'd be out $580.

Hence, I'm going to be replacing my Volks with 18x10.5 RPF1s.

turtl631

NT03s are also stronger, guys on EvoM were getting flex with RPF1s on R comps.

nismofly
06-19-2008, 02:44 PM
thats the only problem really, thats not the first time ive heard of that happening

will that cause any issues aside from weird sidewall movement/whatever happens?

again, another reason why i think itd be interesting to see just how much of an impact wheel weight actually has, because while im sure volks and ssr's and other kinds of forged awesomeness are stronger and the flex wont be an issue, are they going to make the car that must faster by saving that 4 lbs per corner over a stronger cast wheel that costs half as much

hell id probably run fn01rc's if i could prove that there was no advantage in getting the enkeis, because nt03's are really lacking in 240 friendly shelf sizes
