95 240sx SR20DET Rebuild and Swap

I purchased my S14 shell back in May of 2009. It pretty much just sat until recently because I couldn't figure out what motor I wanted to drop in. At first I was dead set on going built KA-T but changed my mind to GM V8 and then again to 2JZ lol. All of this indecision led me nowhere and the car was never touched.

My shell already had the following mods when bought..

S15 HLSD
5 lug conversion
KYB AGX's w/ Megan Racing springs

In September, a buddy of mine was parting out his S13 project so I picked up his redtop swap. I got all of the following from him.

Redtop Engine - no a/c, no power steering
Transmission - no starter, no slave, no shifter
Exedy Stage 2 Clutch
Engine harness - Been hacked and will probably need to be replaced. Anyone got one for cheap?
525cc STI Injectors w/ clips - I just sent off to be flow tested and cleaned by Deatschwerks
Ebay intake manifold
Ebay oil pan
Garrett S15 T28R
HKS internal wastegate
Ebay turbo manifold
300ZX MAF
Nismo motor mounts

Since then I've been accumulating parts to rebuild the engine before it's dropped in. There's nothing wrong with it, I just want to for peace of mind. Do it once, do it right, right? I will be replacing the usual swap components such as oil pump, water pump, timing chain, gaskets etc...

The only other performance modifications I've bought so far..

Walbro 255LPH fuel pump kit
Mishimoto radiator and hoses
Synapse blow off valve
A bunch of OEM replacement parts

Other modifications to be purchased as soon as I can afford them..

This past weekend I started disassembling the motor. I'm waiting for new bearings to arrive before I go further. Here's what it looks like as of yesterday..

The valve cover has been stripped and looks clean. I've also pressure washed/cleaned both upper and lower oil pan.

Accidentally dripped some oil on this thing so I will pressure wash it some more

And that's pretty much all the progress I've made. I'm waiting on a couple shipments to come in from Russell at nissanparts.cc . If you need OEM SR parts, I highly recommend you check them out. Great prices and service.

Hopefully I will have more progress next weekend. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to get done though since I plan on doing the brakes on my daily. This is how it looked when I bought it back in 2007, it's still completely stock minus a drop in K&N filter (stock one was dirty).
