Hey everyone I have been on zilvia for a while now and was referred here by another zilvia member. I have gotten very sick of the typical drifter "slam the **** outta your car with whatever coils, stretch the hell outta your tires, swap an SR, and you've got a dope car" attitude so I guess I'm trying to expand my horizons.
I basically grew up at the racetrack. My dad raced fromula atlantic cars with SCCA for pretty much as long as I can remember. I was the whole pit crew! From about 10 years old I have been working on his cars. When I was about 15 I was completely responsible for pretty much everything that needed to be done to the car at the track. I also helped out prepping the car in the garage. At age 19 I began attending LA Pierce College's automotive program. At age 21 I started working for one of my instructors at his trans shop. I have only worked at 4 shops total and I have been a professional mechanic for about 5 years now. I currently have 4 ASE's (A/C, electrical, manual trans and drivetrain, and auto trans) and will be going for my master tech this spring. I currently specialize in transmissions, drivetrain, suspension/brakes, and electrical. I do absolutely everything, but those are my specialties. In the last couple of years I have started doing my own light fabrication work. I have studied suspension geometry pretty extensively in the last couple of years although I still have a lot to learn. Hopefully I can gain more knowledge here!
