I know Greg pretty well, he's a member here as well=)
The 240 suspension isn't quite as bad as the Sentra up front when it comes to how the factory did the camber curve. If you can't relocate pickup points and things it requires a very stiff spring, as did his road race car.
I spent quite a while discussing Greg's car with Gordon from Koni at PRI as well.

Speaking of 8611's and other forums, I thought I'd post this link that I found randomly one day. Trip-point engineering doing 8611's on a Mazdaspeed Protege.

If you want to completely wrap yourself up in 8611/8610 reading, go to the Subaru forums nasioc.com and search for ZZYZX coilovers. They use these dampers and are very popular for combination auto-x / street cars.

Oh I heard of those... I didn't know they had koni 8611 dampers.
Going to their site they have interesting 3d models showcasing the coilover package and check this out:

Two really cool features. 1. Built in eccentric camber adjustment 2. Bump adjuster on bottom (which I think could be built for ease of use, no need to stab a flathead to turn the knob (from what it looks like that needs to be done from one of the pix):

Could be a neato option, not really necessary.
And these ones are i think the actual koni 8611 setup...:
