Pretty sweet stuff there, I love that at this one race there are probably more nice track S14s than in all the US.....lol.

Those are some of japans fastest privately owned/raced cars. Some of them are even faster than some of the big name tuners.

Yeah.. still funny seeing the huge majority of Nissans there.
Go to any track in the states and look at a group of imports on a road race course, and you see the Mazda/Nissan percentage reversed.

Last weekend the STU, EP, FP, HP, ITA, ITE, GTL group included one S13, two FCs, 4 or 5 FBs, about eight Miatae. two bugeye Sprites, a Neon, one E36, and a couple other American & German cars.

The US is very Class/Rule orientated though.

Japan is pretty much bring what ever you built and drive the hell out of it on track. They're based more on lap times than specifications. I'm sure they're are rules and stuff but they seem pretty relaxed. Thats what I like most.

Yes I don't know what this class is or what the rules for it are but it's the one that pretty much every homebuilt awesometown w2w car in the country I find seems to run. I mean for example:

http://carview-img02.bmcdn.jp/carlife/images/UserCarPhoto/887639/p5.jpg

In that one picture there's like 5 of the s-chassis I've found over the years that I love so much...and am basing my project off of.

In other words, it's more like Ultimate Track Car Challenge than SCCA Club Racing. :)
You still see quite a few other makes than Nissan in UTCC, but you do see a higher percentage of them there than in Club Racing. (Partly because Nissan Motorsports USA doesn't offer sheit for amateur racing support anymore. The only time they care is if you're driving a GTR or a 350/370. Guys in early Z or S-chassis are SOL for support from Nissan Motorsports. The guys in UTCC are more shops and non-sponsored, so they're not really looking for support from Nissan like Club racers are.)
