Looks like older model Flags from Holland, not the newer JDM made stuff.

theyre on upgarage for $930, plus maybe $100 ish for shipping...plus whatever servicing they need

possibly worth it?

id half consider selling my kts for these

I can pretty much guarantee they will be better than your KTS. They should be able to be serviced (rebuilt/revalved) at Ohlin's USA in NC. Before you spend the money I would call Ohlin's USA and explain that you plan on purchasing them, and how much it would be to rebuild or potentially revalve them.

From a design standpoint, you will lose inner tire clearance due to the short flange design on them. Almost all of the older stuff was fixed lower mounts as well.

They could also be an older set of Road and Track's.

i know theyll be better than my kts, the thing im trying to decide is whether theyre worth it at this stage...ill be running hpde's this summer and next, itll be at least summer 2010 before i start wheel to wheel, and i was thinking my kts would hold me up through hpde's, maybe with new dampers at some point, then id buy like a koni/gc combo using your setup or maybe try to do something like what PJ is doing using his old d2 coilover bodies and stuffing them with koni dampers

so i guess my question is, would i be better off learning on them than kts? im thinking i wont notice the difference at least until wheel to wheel and possibly after ive been running that for a while

We gave up on doing the converted D2 setup, all we wound up using was the pillowball mounts for the new coilovers on PJ's.

By the time you spend that much for the used Ohlin's you could've pretty much paid for a SA 8610 setup.

The KTS will hold up through them, but it's more than just not blowing up that makes a good setup. How rough your track is, will definately play a role in it as well.

i know the KTS really dont make for a good setup, however since ive already got them i figure i might as well keep them until im ready to put together that good setup...so i think ill stick with them for at least this year then start putting together something using konis or something with gc's, ive definately got some studying to do before i start making purchases

if anyones interested in the ohlins though let me know

A local guy here purchased those Ohlin's. He's having them rebuilt before he runs them just in case though.

I have the KTS. Not as great as some of the other stuff on here, but they won't restrict your learning process at this point. I myself am planning to slowly accumulate stuff towards a koni/gc set up of sorts.
