I got my Ground Control order in today and I figured I'd share some pictures. I'm also looking for feedback. Am I correct in assuming that the camber/caster plates will hurt my travel up front? The rears are 12mm id for the eclipse rears I plan on putting on.

They won't hurt your travel any more than a Tein setup. It'll be just fine. The interesting thing to me is that they redid that plate, it used to be the same as the Sentra ones (sitting on top of the tower)

Hmm, I didn't know that GC made camber/caster plates for S-chassis cars. Did you get them directly from GC?

Yes, get them direct.

I took the rear upper mounts apart and they are urethane all the way through. There is no metal seperating the shaft from the mount.

What's the pricing like on the front and rear plates/mounts?

I like the caster adjustability, and the use of a proper thrust bearing.

I paid around 350 but I bought them with some other stuff. I think retail is 299 for the front and 100 for the rear. I think the caster adjustment is for equalizing the the adjustment rather than adding caster but I'll find out when I get it aligned.

Last i checked retail was 399.99 on those plates, but they've changed them since i had seen the pricing on the old ones.

Were the old GC mounts any good for S13s?

They were fine, but they ate up shaft travel. it added travel if you had a long strut like the Advance Design or similar. The Koni's do not need it though, so one under the tower works better.

Here's some new pics while the plates were apart.

Here are the three holes for the camber adjustment bolts. I wonder if making the bolts adjustable from the bottom in order to take advantage of the extra caster would be worth the trouble. Would using a flat head bolt that would slide in between the camber plate and the strut tower be an option? You wouldn't be able to adjust the camber without raising the car either. Also, I could gain a little more caster by using only the middle hole. Would this be insufficient for the stress that is put on the camber bolts.

To be honest I'm surprised they didn't recess the camber bolts to make them slide under the strut tower.

I have those and they are nice. They do not eat up a ton of shock travel.
