hi,

my name is herry and i just joined this forum.
i have 95 240sx, i drive my car for DD, auto x and drift.

i have koni 8641-1364 for the front and 8040-1226 for the rear.
godspeed sway bar front and rear (30.32mm F & 28.16mm R)
ebay front strut bar and rear strut bar.
ebay RUCA and front tension rod.
megan lowering spring F(350) & R(250)
full stiff for rear shock

now i feel my spring rate to soft for auto x and drifting
and when i driving in bumpy freeway, it kinda riding a horse in the rear, coz it bouncing (my friend told me spring and shock didn't match up)

any suggestion for spring rate F & R for setup auto x and drifting and didn't sacrifice for DD?

8k front 6k rear. Good for comfort & performance with a decent shock. Generally on this car you want more spring and shock in the front and the rear nice and soft for traction. Even to the point of removing the rear sway bar. So full stiff on the rear with a huge sway bar is a big handling problem.

I usually run on the circuit and I have auto-x'd a bit for fun. From what I heard, people at the events use high rates. It's pretty surprising, though it makes sense cause turns are so tight and transitions happens so quickly and violently (at the wheel, shuffling the darn thing). I've also been told in classes where modifications are very limited that competitors, in near stock class run groups, revalve their dampers by extremely over-dampening them to prevent the car from swaying so much. Just FYI stuff, but chances are the rates you choose to compete for auto-x will not be enjoyable to be ran on the street. If your car is still oscillating over bumps after you hit them then your dampers need to be revalved if they're out of adjustment.

Sounds like another case of blown konis. Pull them off and have them checked.

I imagine if tested...those Megan's wouldn't come close to the spec'd rates. VERY few, if any of the cheap springs do.
