Okay so my father's 2003 Ford Taurus SE with a duratec has his struts blown at 160k... He was looking at some kind of KYB ones and monroe ones... which i told him are utter crap... he runs extreme performance tires in summer and winter tires in winter... the car handles pretty damn good with the tires and holds lots of grip and responds quite well while still having stock rubber bushings... Considering how it is.. he does drive it enthusiastically... sorry to say to him it's not a 240 :P but I am pretty sure things here and there can be done to it, bushings, adjustable arms, fatter swaybars especially in rear, better/wider tire/wheel combo (he just got some lighter+wider lower offset wheels). Its a nice sedan though... His dream is to 'tune it up' like my 240 lol... good luck but nothing's impossible.
Anyways I suggested koni yellows... that should be more than enough for his enthusiastic daily sedan driving... but I'm not quite sure whats out there and what can be done... any suggestions? Tauruses are kind of unknown being fwd heavy sedans, the duratec is an engine in a wrong car, but its not a bad car...
Help out :D Basically he wants to make it more grippy/responsive/sporty heh.. while replacing his blown 160k stock ones.
