I wonder if their rebuild costs went up to stay the same price as a new shock?

Last time I checked on the rebuild price, it was close enough to a new one I didn't bother- especially since the adjuster was broken on mine and I would have needed lots of parts.

Ahmed, I'm running KTS coilovers on the 240.
Nismo S-Tune on the G35..
I have a GC/Koni setup on the Maxima, but I'll be converting it to something from a 240 soon (the Max needs a complete suspension overhaul anyway, so I might as well make it something fun, right?!. I'm picking up a Z32 tranny and starter, and have a parts 240 and a Z32 in order to make the Maxima drive the proper wheels. ;) )

edit...

I wonder if the price of the new shocks went up to make the exorbitant rebuild price seem like a cheaper solution?

2009 caused rather large hikes for most suspension manufacturers.

2009 caused rather large hikes for most suspension manufacturers.

It apparently didn't affect suspension manufacturers located in third-world and communist countries.

How many years have you been saying this? I'm not holding my breath. :p;)

Rando, notice I also used to temper that with "until I have a new DD"... well I got the new DD back in January, and I have the cage int he 240.. it's almost ready for club racing.. so once I get it finished- which is simply a matter of installing the rest of the safety crap parts on the shelf.. tow hooks, fire suppression system, battery shutoff, etc- then the car is ready to play, and I'm going to be starting on the Maxima.

(Plus Kelly told me a few weeks ago to work on it or sell it.... since we all know I'll never sell it, that leaves me with one option...... ;) )
