Just wondering what most of you are running for engine setups, built, stockish. what mods are done to them?

DOHC KA with BC 264 cams, Hotshot header, test pipe, SSAC 3" exhaust. Hate it, can't wait to swap in a T28 SR20 setup.

Mine is mostly stockish
96 S14
S13 Intake Cam
Pulleys
Hotshot Header
2.5" Exhaust
Injen Intake
I like it, coming from a 1.6L Miata makes it feel like an LS1!

^Haha, I guess that makes sense. I've had one or another S14 since 2004, and one of them had a ~350 whp turbo KA for several months, so I've been spoiled. But 1.6L Miatas are slow; I rode along with a Spec Miata at Carolina Motorsports Park and was honestly pretty bored in all but the tightest sections of the track. Super low power momentum cars just aren't my thing I guess.

The low powered cars are great when you can really make them stick and pull some G's but thats not always the case.

Its much more fun behind the wheel :D
It teaches you a different skill set, you do everything in you power to conserve momentum. I really enjoyed it, but that said, its nice to have some torque to play with now.

SR2oD3T redtop, y0!
bored to 86.5mm
CP pistons, 8.5:1 static CR
ARP head, rod & main bolts
GTi-R main bearings, OE rod
3-angle valve joerb
new exhaust valve guides
stock cams
GReddy RAS's
Engine is at stock boost levels for now on the stock T25 and stock SMIC. Probably will stay this way for at least another season, as I have some other things to work out first.

Stock SR20
AEM cold air
SSAC 2.5 header
2.25" cat back (needs to be a 2.5)
pulleys

In the car:
S13 SR20DE
JWT S3 cams
S13 exhaust manifold
S14 T28 turbo
B13 JWT ECU for the above setup
FMIC (PWR tube/fin IC with Ebay piping)
In the garage is a redtop SR20DET... still undecided as to what I'm going to do with it. One thing you learn from track days is to keep the build simple and cost effective, because it sure helps you feel better when you just toasted a motor on the track :)

Mine is an Avenir W11 motor running N/A in my B13 with bolt-ons:
SSAC 2.5" header
Shigspeed Intake

Stock internal KA. Never even had the valve cover off.
Intake, MSD Blaster SS coil, 3" exhaust.
Trying to keep her California legal so I can keep on driving to and from track events.
Power to weight is about equal to my brother's E36 M3 and I only go to short tracks, so I'm not going to complain.
If you set up an S-chassis decently well, you can run down Evos on a short track with only ~130whp.

well i build about the same every time (why change what works well)2.8 l f54 block flat top piston n 47 head with my own custom port and polish job a custom cam headers ,good for about 300 rwhp at 7000rpm and still street drivable

Stock KA24DE with crappy intake and stock header.
I'm working on seeing how far I can go with driving skill, weight reduction, and gearing changes before turning up the power.
I may do some BC cams, bump up compression, and tune the ECU to cheat a bit.

stock single cam KA, 2.5" catback, thats it
im trying to decide what to do next, itll either be DOHC KA with more bolt ons this fall, or SR/etc setup in like a year
KA24DE
Full Race T4 manifold
T04R
CP pistons (89mm)
Pauter rods
Enthalpy ECU
SAFC
740cc injectors
BC exhaust cam (until I can find a stock replacement)
Traps 113mph on pump gas. Same setup made 532whp on 114 (R+M)/2 fuel at 30psi.
Considering swapping the T4 manifold/T04R out for a Full Race T3 manifold/GT3076R, unless this new GT3582R T4 twin scroll proves to be good.

91 KA24DE
De-baffled/de-snorkeled stock intake
$80 ebay 4-2-1 header, slightly ported the flange-primary area
Stock cat
Megan Racing Type-II Black, stock-appearance 3" cat-back
23* base timing running 93 octane
Emissions delete
I want to pull the intake manifold soon to replace all the hoses and gaskets around that area. I'm thinking of doing a thermal insulator gasket for the intake manifold, if I can find somebody that makes one for the KA, that is. I'm also going to pull the intake runner butterflies while I'm in there. After that, pretty much the only thing remaining on my list is a custom short intake to the battery tray area when I relocate the battery. I'd love to do a larger MAF because I've heard of some nice gains above 6000 but that would require a better tuning solution and that all adds up to too much money for 5-10 HP.
